Stage 2+ K04 Conversion
« on: August 22, 2024, 10:41:31 pm »
Hi all,  Finally completed the conversion with a few major issues (blown turbo  :fighting:) allong the way.  Regarding turbo flutter should this happen evertime after (load) I accelerate?  It started straight after the k04 was fitted.  The k04 has an uprated thrust bearing + Anti Surge Core.  For the intake I have a Neuspeed P-Flo Kit.  Is there a way of stopping this?

Mine flutters every time I come off the accelerator if I was under load. I'm running a DV relocation, a rev G valve and 1.55 bar boost with 233g/s airflow at wot.

It's because the DV cant release pressure fast enough. You'd probably need a different DV housing or straight up a different DV setup

I mean hey, that's the best part about it! Especially in my case cause I have a stock exhaust with only a downpipe, so it's quiet. Comfy for long drives but you can hear all the intake noises which is the whole point. Heads turn all the time and if I try to race somebody, usually when they hear the flutter, they give up.

If you're running a DV+, I'd swap it out for a rev G. It's way to restrictive, gives excessive flutter, which sounds great, but logs a DV malfunction in VCDS.
